A turbocharger is actually an air compressor that increases the intake volume by compressing air. It uses the inertial force of the exhaust gas discharged by the engine to drive the turbine in the turbine chamber, and the turbine drives the coaxial impeller, which presses the air sent from the air filter pipe to enter the cylinder with pressure. When the engine speed increases, the exhaust gas discharge speed and the turbine speed also increase synchronously, and the impeller compresses more air into the cylinder. The increase in air pressure and density can burn more fuel. By increasing the amount of fuel and adjusting the engine speed accordingly, the engine output power can be increased.
There are mainly five advantages of the turbochargers produced by our factory as below:
1. Improve the engine power. When the engine displacement remains unchanged, the intake density can be increased so that the engine can spray more fuel, thereby increasing the engine power. The power and torque of the engine after the supercharger is installed will increase by 20%~30%. On the contrary, under the same power output requirement, the cylinder diameter of the engine can be reduced, and the size and weight of the engine can be reduced.
2. Improve engine emissions. The turbocharger engine reduces the displacement of harmful components such as particulate matter and nitrogen oxides in the engine exhaust gas by improving the combustion efficiency of the engine. It is an indispensable configuration for diesel engines to meet the emission standards above Euro II.
3. Provide plateau compensation function. In some high-altitude areas, the higher the altitude, the thinner the air. The engine with a turbocharger can overcome the engine power reduction caused by the thin air on the plateau.
4. Improve fuel economy and reduce fuel consumption. Since the engine with a turbocharger has better combustion performance, it can save 3%-5% of fuel.
5. It has high reliability and good matching characteristics, and high transient response characteristics.
